A southeast water park is officially being torn down as the Kenosee Superslides are seeing demolition crews move into the area.
Earlier this year, the Government of Saskatchewan closed a tender for demolition companies to handle the demolition, which included the main pool building, mechanical building, various water slides, supporting structures, a pool, lazy river and an existing stockpile of spare slide components.

The tender was awarded to Silverado Demolition Operations Inc. of Saskatoon at a price of $130,910 on Feb. 16.
The slides were originally shut down by the Saskatchewan Health Authority during the summer of 2020 and, while shortly being reopened that season, have not been used since.
