Police in Prince Albert are investigating after a young boy died in a local hospital this week.
According to the Prince Albert Police Service, officers were called to a home on Second Street East just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday after getting a report of an unconscious three-year-old boy, who was not breathing.

Police said the boy was taken to the Victoria Hospital by paramedics, where he was later pronounced dead.
“The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section are investigating the death along with the Office of the Chief Coroner,” the police force said in a statement.
“An autopsy was completed on Wednesday.”
Police said further updates will be shared as the investigation into the boy’s death progresses.
