After the car was stopped police said officers found around 1.5 kg of fentanyl, 1.8 kg of methamphetamine, 162 grams of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a large sum of cash.
The 26-year-old from Scarborough was charged with possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, for the purpose of trafficking as well as possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
He appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on March 5 and is scheduled to appear again on March 9.
“Fentanyl is an extremely potent substance. Consumption – or even contact – with only a few milligrams can be fatal,” says Sgt. Geoff Applegate, the Wynyard RCMP detachment commander said in the release.
