Nipawin RCMP, local fire, EMS and STARS were called to Highway 106 about 40 kilometres north of Smeaton at 8:30 a.m. on March 10.

The woman was declared dead at the scene and a second passenger in the SUV was transported by STARS with non-life-threatening injuries to hospital.
The driver and a third passenger were taken to hospital by EMS, also with injuries described as not life-threatening. The driver of the semi did not report any injuries.
Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers with the Provincial Protective Services Branch also assisted in the response to the collision.
No injuries in second Tuesday crash
Another crash earlier Tuesday morning, a hit-and-run, left an SUV in the ditch.
No injuries were reported to Saskatchewan RCMP after they received a report of a vehicle collision on Highway 219 in the rural municipality of Dundurn around 6:30 a.m.
Officers, local fire and EMS responded immediately. In a release, police said investigation showed an SUV travelling north on the highway was hit by a truck from behind.
The SUV went into the ditch and was damaged, though no one was injured. The truck did not stop and continued northbound on the highway.
RCMP said the truck is described as a black Ford F150 or a Dodge Ram and continue to investigate.
