A boy under 18 is facing criminal charges after a shooting that left two people injured at Pinehouse Lake, northwest of La Ronge.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers got a report about the shooting at around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

“The investigation determined an interaction occurred between a group of individuals at a residence in Pinehouse Lake,” the Mounties explained in a statement.
“During the altercation, a firearm was discharged, resulting in injuries to two victims. Both were transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.”
Police said one person – a youth under 18 who cannot be named under Canadian law – is facing two charges of aggravated assault “as well as numerous other offences” in connection with the shooting. The RCMP said he was also wanted on a warrant.
“Pinehouse RCMP would like to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident,” the RCMP added, noting that information can be submitted to police or anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
“If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public,” the RCMP added.
