According to police, officers received “a third-party report regarding a potential threat to a Regina high school” on Saturday evening, and immediately launched an investigation.

“Following a thorough review of the details, investigators determined the threat was not credible and that there was no danger to students, staff or the facility,” the police force said in a statement.
While police did not name the school, the address corresponds with Dr. Martin Leboldus High School.
Despite the finding of the investigation, police said school resource officers were at the school on Monday “to ensure a smooth start to the school week, and to provide support to the school community.”
Police said officers met with administrators to provide an update and officially close the file, and noted that no classes were disrupted.
“The Regina Police Service takes all reports of potential threats to school safety seriously and works closely with local school boards to maintain a safe environment for all,” the police force added.
