The City of Regina’s deputy city manager and chief financial officer has resigned from his role.
In a statement on Thursday, the city confirmed Daren Anderson’s departure.

“Daren brought extraordinary expertise to his role and was instrumental in navigating two challenging budget cycles,” the statement said. “We thank him for his hard work and wish him the best in his new opportunity.
“The City and Daren have worked on a transition plan to ensure continuity and stability.”
Anderson joined the city in early 2025.
His departure comes while Regina is without a permanent city manager. City clerk Jim Nicol has been acting in the role since last year.
