“Investigation determined an altercation occurred between a group of individuals,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“A firearm was discharged, striking one individual, who was treated in hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.”
Police said officers arrested four people at the home, seizing a pair of guns and gun parts, along with side-by-side ATV and generators that police said were reported stolen by a business in the city earlier on Friday.
“One of the arrested individuals assaulted an officer while being transported to police cells,” the RCMP alleged.
Three of the people who were arrested at the home are now facing various charges including reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a weapon obtained by crime, assaulting a police officer, motor vehicle theft and mischief over $5,000, police said, while the fourth was released without charges.
