Two men have been arrested and charged in connection to the death of Horace Bear two days after his passing.
Bear, 33, was reported dead by Correctional Service Canada on April 22. He had begun serving a sentence of just under three years on Dec. 13 at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary, where he reportedly died in a fight.

The arrests came as a result of continued investigation by the Saskatchewan RCMP’s homicide investigation unit, according to a release from the Mounties.
A 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old man are each facing a charge of second-degree murder.
“Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit have also laid charges related to the altercation that resulted in multiple inmates being injured,” the release from police said.
The 26-year-old is also facing a charge of aggravated assault, as are two other 26-year-old men.
Court dates have not been confirmed yet, RCMP said. The incident continues to be investigated.
