Regina Police Service says several people who hired a renovation company are out more than $50,000 for work that was never completed.
Police said between April and September 2025, there were agreements made with a company called Sask Abatements for renovations, abatement, landscaping, and general construction work.

The clients paid through e-transfers and bank drafts, but police allege that much of the work was never started or finished, or simply abandoned.
Refund requests were also ignored, according to police.
On June 3, officers made a traffic stop and arrested a 47-year-old man. He is now facing charges of fraud over $5,000, criminal breach of trust, and laundering proceeds of crime.
He made his first court appearance on June 4.
