A 30-year-old man from the Salteaux First Nation has been charged with manslaughter.
According to the RCMP, officers got a report of an injured man at a home on the First Nation located north of the Battlefords at around 4 a.m. on Friday.

The Mounties said officers responding to the call found 53-year-old Leonard Moccasin, also a resident of the First Nation, who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Police said Moccasin’s family has been notified of his death.
“The death was considered suspicious, and officers arrested an adult male at the scene,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“As a result of investigation, 30-year-old Bradley Redbear from Saulteaux First Nation was charged with one count, manslaughter.”
Police said Redbear was scheduled to appear in court in North Battleford on Monday.
