Ahead of the weekend, the City of Saskatoon is giving drivers notice of a few closures that could affect their plans in the coming days.
Cornish Road from Preston Avenue S to Stonebridge Boulevard will be closed as of June 16, with construction work lasting about a week, depending on weather and barring unforeseen circumstances.

The city said road microsurfacing work is scheduled for Cornish Road and will be done in phases “to minimize impacts to residents,” according to a release.
Saskatoon Transit may be impacted by detours as a result of the project.
Broadway Avenue will also see closures between 8th and 12th streets on Saturday, June 13, from 5 a.m. until about 8 p.m., due to the Broadway Spring Fling.
Detours will be in place to guide motorists.
A number of nearby streets are also affected by that closure, including 12th Street E from Broadway Avenue to Dufferin Avenue, 11th Street E from the alleyway west of Broadway Avenue to Dufferin Avenue, 10th Street E from alleyway west of Broadway Avenue to alleyway east of Broadway Avenue and Main Street from alleyway west of Broadway Avenue to Dufferin Avenue.
