A 24-year-old man from Lindsay, Ont. is facing a murder charge in connection with a death in the Saskatchewan community of Sucker River.
According to police, officers got a report of an injured man at a home in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band community shortly after midnight on March 4. Police responding to the call found 39-year-old Stephen McKenzie injured at the scene.
McKenzie was taken to hospital by paramedics where he was later declared dead.

On Friday, police announced that officers had made an arrest in the case.
The RCMP said Andrew Douglas MacDonald was arrested on Thursday at the Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay, Ont., and was transported back to Saskatchewan to face a charge of second-degree murder in connection with McKenzie’s death.
MacDonald was scheduled to appear in court in La Ronge on Friday, police noted.
