Saskatchewan RCMP have charged a teenager in Stanley Mission in relation to a firearms incident back in April.
The teen, who can’t be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested June 17. They have been charged with aggravated assault and several firearms related offences, and are scheduled to appear in court in Stanley Mission on July 7.
While details are sparse, police received a report of a firearms incident at a home in the community on April 15. No one was arrested at the time, but a teen was taken to hospital with an undisclosed injury.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatoon and Regina Serious Crimes Units, Forensic Identification Section, Stanley Mission RCMP and La Ronge Municipal General Investigation Section assisted with the investigation.
