WITH GUEST HOST BRENT LOUCKS
8:30 – From a minimum wage increase announcement to continued trade uncertainty after the CUSMA review and a push for another AI data centre, this time near Saskatoon, there’s no shortage of topics that could change our economy. Jason Aebig, CEO, Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, joins guest host Brent Loucks to break down what these developments mean for local businesses, workers and future investment.
Listener Question: Do you support another AI data centre in Saskatchewan–this time near Saskatoon?
9:00 – For many hunters, the outdoors isn’t just a hobby—it’s a lifelong passion that’s rooted in conservation and respect for wildlife. Kelly Kozij, 2nd Vice President of the Weyburn Wildlife Federation, joins us to talk about the Guns for Habitat program and how it donates every dollar to conserve land across the province.
LQ: Do you think hunters play an important role in wildlife conservation?
9:15 – We’ve all seen the posts scrolling on social media, whether it’s a cute animal, a crazy natural disaster, or an ad for a local business; a lot of them are AI-generated. This is causing some controversy for local businesses, while others poke fun at the idea. Krunal Chavda, AI Research Assistant, Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan, joins Brent to share how he helps businesses navigate AI and why many are opposed to the usage of it.
LQ: What are your thoughts on businesses using AI?
9:30 – Homelessness and encampments have become increasingly visible in cities across Canada—including right here in Saskatchewan. But while levels of government pass the buck on who needs to solve the problem, Alexandra Flynn, director of the housing research collaborative at the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law, says they should be working together. She joins Brent to explain a landmark court ruling out of Waterloo, Ontario and how it could impact homeless encampments around the country.
LQ: If all forms of government actually came together, do you think they could solve homelessness?

11:30 – Sometimes one person can inspire an entire community with a big idea and a lot of determination. That’s exactly what Dion Campbell, local volunteer and teacher rollerblading 700 km across Saskatchewan, is doing to raise money to help save the Rocanville Community Rink. He joins the show while on his journey to share how it’s been and how close he is to the finish line!
