Mounties in Saskatchewan say a 31-year-old man is facing a kidnapping charge after a 30-year-old missing woman was reported missing on Monday morning, and police are working to track him down.
According to the RCMP, the woman “was reportedly taken from a residence near Makwa Lake,” about 70 kilometres west of Meadow Lake, shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday.
In an update issued just after 12:30 p.m., police said the woman had been found safely, but officers are still searching for the man allegedly responsible.

According to the RCMP, 31-year-old Kevin Ross Watt is facing charges of kidnapping with a firearm and breaching conditions of an undertaking in connection with the alleged abduction.
Watt was described as five-foot-11, weighing 198 pounds, with blue eyes and short, brown hair. He’s known to travel to Loon Lake, Lloydminster, St. Walburg and Maidstone, police said.
“He may be driving a grey 2009 Chevrolet Impala with SK license plate 402 NRJ,” the RCMP said in a statement. “The car has a damaged windshield and damage to the front bumper. The direction of travel is unknown.”
The RCMP asked anyone with information on Watt’s whereabouts to get in touch with police or make a report anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
“If you see Kevin Watt, do not approach him,” the RCMP noted.
