A security guard at a business in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West was assaulted with a machete Thursday evening, according to a release from the Saskatoon Police Service.
The release states the security guard was injured while escorting a group of people from the business. The suspects fled the area but were located a short time later.

Responding to a call of a disturbance near 20th Street West and Avenue Q, officers identified two people that matched the descriptions of the suspects from the earlier assault, one was in possession of a machete.
A 13-year-old and a 14-year-old were arrested without incident and have been charged with assault and weapons-related offences.
Police remind citizens about traffic violation scam
The Saskatoon Police Service is still receiving reports of an ongoing scam that falsely tells a recipient they have received a traffic violation.
The scam usually arrives in the form of a text message. The service cautions links in the text messages should not be clicked and payments should not be made to the associated website.
