Sask. RCMP seek owner of suspected stolen boat found near Shackleton

Are you missing a boat? The RCMP may have found it.

Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release on Aug. 7 that officers with the Leader RCMP detachment were on proactive patrol on Aug. 6 and spotted a boat and trailer on the side of Highway 32 near Shackleton, northwest of Swift Current.

RCMP said they have reason to believe the boat was stolen and are trying to find its owner.

Police described the watercraft as a fibreglass runabout boat on a red single-axle trailer. The boat is white and light blue with a Mariner 80 h.p. outboard motor, they said.

Anyone with information about the boat and trailer or its owner is asked to contact Leader RCMP.

Police are also asking anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage of the boat in the Shackleton area to contact them.
