SGI’s head office in Regina is closed after part of the building flooded early on Friday morning.
According to the Crown insurance company, the flood caused water damage on multiple floors.

“SGI’s issuing office at Head Office is closed to customers, but SGI services remain available through other channels,” SGI said in a statement.
“Customers may experience phone queue disruptions or reduced service levels, and we appreciate their patience.”

Customers in need of SGI’s services were advised to visit other offices, or use phone or online options.
The company said it is assessing the damage, and will update its employees as needed.
The Regina Fire Department said firefighters were called to the building shortly before 6 a.m., and found the water was flowing from a leaking standpipe.
