Two men were arrested on Thursday evening after allegedly threatening an employee at a business with a knife during a robbery.
According to police, officers were called to the Broad Street business just before 10 p.m.

“Investigation revealed that one male attempted to leave the business with unpaid merchandise and threatened an employee with a knife when confronted,” police said in a statement.
“A second male was waiting outside of the business with a metal bar. Both males then fled the area.”
Police said the two men, who matched descriptions of the suspects, were arrested without incident on Halifax Street shortly after the alleged robbery.
Both men, ages 25 and 41, are facing robbery charges and police said they appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Friday morning.
Woman charged after assault involving bear spray: police
A 23-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday morning after allegedly attacking another woman with bear spray.
Police said officers were called to the area of Albert Street and Saskatchewan Drive at around 9:30 a.m.
“The caller reported seeing an adult female and an adult male verbally arguing on the street. The female was holding, what was believed to be, two cans of bear spray and subsequently sprayed and physically assaulted the victim,” police said in a statement.
“Within minutes, officers arrived and located the suspect and another adult female a short distance away.”
Police said the woman “failed to comply with commands and fled on foot,” so officers enlisted a police dog, leading to “injuries consistent with a dog bite” that were treated by paramedics at the scene.
A can of bear spray was found in her bag, police said.
The 23-year-old woman is facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and failing to comply with conditions of a release order, police said.
