RCMP officers are investigating a shooting in Sandy Bay, which left one man injured.
According to police, officers got a report about the shooting shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

“Initial investigation determined a firearm was discharged toward a vehicle, striking an adult male, who was taken to the local clinic with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature,” the RCMP said in a statement.
The Mounties warned the public of an increased police presence in the community in the aftermath of the shooting.
“As this investigation is unfolding, we do not have further information to share at this time. Updates will be provided as we are able,” the RCMP noted.
“If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public.”
On Tuesday afternoon, the Saskatchewan RCMP released a statement saying, “Sandy Bay RCMP have arrested an individual in relation to this investigation.”
“No charges have been laid at this time. The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting continues and we will provide updates when we are able,” the statement read.
