A Yorkton resident is facing three terrorism-related charges over their alleged participation in the activities of a group the Mounties described as “violent online predators.”
According to the RCMP, officers investigating a report of “concerning online activity” began looking into a user on Telegram who had allegedly posted a series of videos depicting their activity as a member of the group 764. The user was also referenced in numerous chat rooms on Discord and Telegram related to the group, the Mounties said.

“764, which became a listed terrorist entity in December 2025, is a transnational online ecosystem of violent online predators who coerce youth to participate in acts involving child sexual abuse and exploitation, self-harm, and the torture of animals,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“Elements of the 764 network are known to have extreme ideological views and are victimizing children through desensitizing and radicalizing them to violence.”
The Mounties said the 18-year-old was arrested on Sept. 24. They are now facing charges of participating in the activity of a terrorist group, facilitating terrorist activity and commission of an offence for a terrorist group.
They are expected to appear in court on Tuesday in Yorkton, police said.
“As the offences were committed while the individual was a youth, the Youth Criminal Justice Act prevents any further release of information regarding this individual,” the RCMP added.
“As the criminal investigation is ongoing and before the courts, the RCMP will not be making further comments at this time.”
According to the Government of Canada, members of 764 engage in criminal activity around the world, “seeking to destroy civilized society through violence and chaos,” with members using social media and gaming platforms to lure, groom and extort children into committing violent or sexual acts.
“764 members view sexual, psychological, and physical violence as entertainment, a way to achieve status and notoriety in-group, and ideological labour to erode social norms. 764 members disseminate instructional materials on how to effectively carry out these activities while avoiding detection,” the federal government said.
The government said a 14-year-old member of the group in Alberta was charged with crimes related to child pornography and explosives in February of 2024.
On Jan. 4, 2025, a minor in Sweden linked to the group attacked a 55-year-old woman with a knife, causing non-fatal injuries.
“In January 2025, a teenager allegedly involved in the 764 network pled guilty to encouraging suicide, possessing a terrorism manual, and possessing child sexual abuse material in the United Kingdom,” the federal government added.
