Regina residents will be able to use their fire pits again just in time for fall.
The City of Regina announced it will be lifting their fire ban at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Regina Fire and Protective Services have been monitoring the situation since the ban was put into place.
Factors that went into lifting the ban included conditions with Regina improving due to cooler temperatures and higher humidity and vegetation in the city’s open spaces have been cut.
Citizens should remain vigilant and adhere to fire pit requirements.
The city said it is important people are mindful of where they dispose of cigarettes.
