Duron Carter is becoming one of my favourite players.
Not only because he’s talented, but more-so because he never ducks an issue.
Yes, sometimes he behaves like a big child looking for attention. And his antics may hurt the Saskatchewan Roughriders when he loses his temper again and takes an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. But he makes unbelievable catches and shares them with fans of the CFL team. He wades into Winnipeg’s fans for a picture.

If he doesn’t like the officiating, he tells you. If he’s sticking up for a teammate, he tells you. When somebody spits on him, he tells you.
And he’s there every day, ready to deal with the questions that come with his position. When the Riders linked arms during the national anthem and the critics surfaced, he responded with passion.
Carter gets angry and he can’t walk away from perceived injustices.
His antics on social media often earn him fines, but they don’t stop him from smiling, facing the music and getting ready to play again.
