Saskatoon police believe an assault earlier this month might be connected to four different cases, including one last year.
The first happened on July 13, 2014 when a woman was walking from her vehicle to her home in the Silverwood Heights area around 3:30 a.m. A man started walking toward her and as he got closer, the woman ran into her house and locked the door behind her before calling police. Police were unable to find the man.
The second incident happened on Feb. 27 at around 11:30 p.m. when a man exposed himself to four women who were leaving an apartment in the City Park area. A short time later, another woman returned to the same apartment building. She was approached by a man and touched inappropriately before he ran away. He was described as being 20-25 years old, Caucasian, five-foot-seven feet tall with a slim build and shaggy, dark hair.
The third incident happened on May 12 at around 1 a.m. when a woman who was walking in City Park was knocked to the ground from behind by a man. The pair struggled before the man ran away. In this instance he was described as 20 -30 years old with a medium to large build and dark hair.
The most recent incident happened on July 5 at around 4:30 a.m. when a woman was getting out of her vehicle after getting to a house in Silverwood Heights. A man approached the woman and assaulted her. The woman and another person inside the home began yelling and the man ran away toward Adilman Drive.
A witness reported a suspicious vehicle in the area at the time of the assault. The vehicle is described as a 2004-2007 maroon Ford Escape. The man was not located.
Investigators with the Saskatoon Police Service Sex Crimes Unit believe the incidents are related.
