The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) is looking into why a train came off the tracks southwest of Swift Current.
The derailment happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday on a Canadian Pacific Railway track near Highway 1, about halfway between Gull Lake and the Village of Webb.
The TSB reported 36 cars carrying potash came off the tracks.
No one was hurt, and no dangerous goods were involved.
