There will likely be some damage to crops and gardens in Saskatchewan after the province was hit by frost Sunday.
Environment Canada said several communities were hit with freezing temperatures between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The coolest place in the province was in the Cypress Hills region. Val Marie dipped down to -2 C. Eastend reached -0.2 C and Meadow Lake’s low was -0.1 C.
The intense low pressure which produced the frosty conditions has now moved out of the province, said Meteorologist Jim Slipic.
Much of the province will see a return to summer conditions this week. Temperatures in Saskatoon are expected to reach the high 20’s by Wednesday.
