Regina police are searching for a man who broke into a home and fired the resident’s gun Friday afternoon.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. at a house in the 1600 block of Rae Street.
According to police, the man who lived there arrived home to find a strange man inside holding one of his guns.
When the suspect ran out of the house, the resident chased after him. It was then the suspect turned around and fired the gun. Police believe the bullet ricocheted off a metal fence post, striking the resident’s leg. He only sustained minor injuries.
Police are now searching for the suspect, who is described as a slender Indigenous man in his early 20s. He’s about 5 feet 7 inches tall and was wearing blue jeans, boots and a jacket.
