A 15-year-old girl is dead after she was hit by a SUV along Highway 16 near Borden last night.
Police say the girl was walking in the lanes and trying to flag down a passing car near the Borden Bridge around 9:55 p.m. when she was hit by the vehicle which was going at highway speeds.
Paramedics performed CPR but the girl died at the scene.
RCMP continue to investigate but say alcohol was not a factor for the driver.
RCMP said no names will be released.
