Two prisoners who spent most of Thursday on the loose will pay for their field trip with an extra month behind bars.
Twenty-five-year-olds Daniel Forest and Cory Lee Rushkewich pleaded guilty to escaping lawful custody during their first appearances in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Friday.
The pair walked away from a work crew in Martensville Thursday morning and had to be tracked down by RCMP in an extensive manhunt that also involved Saskatoon and Corman Park police.
On top of 30 more days in jail, they’ve also each been fined $100.
