Veteran Saskatchewan reporter and broadcaster Manfred Joehnck has died.
Joehnck died suddenly in Battleford, where he was reporting on the Gerald Stanley murder trial. He was working for the Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
MBC announced the death in a news story posted on its website Monday.
He was a familiar name and face for television viewers across the province as a news anchor for CTV Regina from 2001 to 2011. Prior to that, he was the news director at CKRM Radio in Regina for 14 years. In 2012, he took a job with MBC Radio, which is focused on Indigenous issues.
A cause of death wasn’t given. He was 64.
