Pioneer Village still without drinkable tap water

Seniors living at Regina Pioneer Village will have to wait a little bit longer to be able to safely drink the tap water.

A water line broke on Tuesday causing the water to be shut off completely. It’s since been turned back on, but more testing needs to be done to ensure the water is safe to drink.

The largest seniors’ complex in the province was originally placed under a water advisory on Saturday due to unplanned maintenance to the building’s plumbing system.

Residents can still use the water for hand washing and laundry. Signs about the advisory have been put up around the building.

In the meantime, potable water has been brought in for drinking and food preparation.
