A semi rollover on the highway turned into a cattle rescue at Assiniboia on Saturday night.
The rollover happened before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Highways 13 and 2. The semi was carrying 113 cows.
Police worked into the night to get the cattle out of the trailer. RCMP said six farmers came out to help load up and take care of the cattle. Fifteen cows were killed in the crash.
The intersection was closed for a while, but was cleared by 1 a.m.
