It appears Chris Jones is wasting no time getting to work as big changes are already being reported for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Arash Madani of Sportsnet is reporting the Riders have lured longtime Stampeders assistant general manager John Murphy away from Calgary. It’s reported Murphy will have an expanded role as Jones’ right-hand man, which leaves the future of Riders’ current assistant general manager Jeremy O’Day in question.
Madani also reports that Bob Dyce is gone after serving as interim head coach, and personnel director Craig Smith is also out.
TSN is reporting that Jarious Jackson is following Jones, leaving the Edmonton Eskimos to become the Riders’ passing game co-ordinator and quarterbacks coach.
