A section of Dewdney Avenue was blocked off as the Regina Police Service executed a high-risk warrant Wednesday morning.
The drug warrant was executed on the 3400 block of Dewdney Avenue starting at 10 a.m. As a precaution, a “safety perimeter” was established. Police say 35 people were involved in the execution – between those people on scene and incident command at police headquarters.
A police spokesperson confirms that five men and one woman were inside the home when the warrant was executed. Charges are pending, but it’s not yet known what charges will be laid, or how many people will face charges.
Note: A previous version of this story said that four men were inside the home when the warrant was executed. The Regina Police Service has issued a correction to that number.
