The Regina Police Service’s canine unit was able to track down a wanted man Tuesday night.
Around 10 p.m., officers spotted the man driving a green truck. Police tried to pull the truck over, but it drove off.
The truck was found abandoned a short time later and police dogs were brought in to track the man down. He was found in the area of Vernon Crescent, and had to be taken to hospital after being tracked down by the police dogs.
Derek Wolfe, 25, is facing charges of breaching probation, dangerous driving, flight while being pursued by a peace officer, possession of methamphetamine, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of stolen property.
