A swarm of classic rock fans wearing rain ponchos filled Mosaic Stadium as the Eagles rocked the house.
Starting off with their famous and perfectly harmonized song, Seven Bridges Road, the Eagles didn’t disappoint.
Many fans knew rain was in the forecast and came prepared. Although it poured for about half of the set, the weather eventually cleared up and the weather didn’t put a damper on the experience.
While founding member, Glen Frey died two years ago, many people said they found it quite touching to see his son Deacon on stage with the band singing some of his dad’s greatest hits.
“I enjoy when you see their children, the legacies continue – so it’s so nice. He must be very proud of his son and the band must be very proud as well,” one woman commented after the show.
For many fans, the concert was a musical trip down memory lane, calling the Eagles legendary.
“Just bringing back memories of all the old songs,” one man said.
“It took me back to the 70s,” another woman chimed in with a laugh.
The Eagles concert was the kick off to the Memorial Cup tournament being held in Regina for the 100th year anniversary of the event.
