La Loche firefighters save home from weekend fire

The town of La Loche is dealing with another loss.

On Saturday, the La Loche fire department responded to a house fire a local teacher’s home.

Firefighters responded quickly and contained the blaze, saving the house despite significant smoke damage.

No one was home at the time the fire broke out and the cause appears accidental originating from an electrical connection.
