International running back Malcolm Cyrus, 23, signed a deal with the Riders Tuesday after recently attending the team’s free agent camp in Montgomery, Alabama.
The 5’10”, 185 lbs product from Alabama State University collected 2,903 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 488 carries in four seasons with the Hornets. In 43 career games, Cyrus also added 646 receiving yards on 59 receptions. As a senior, Cyrus was named the 2014 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Co-offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 1,662 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The terms of his contract are not being released.
