There’s been an outbreak of the flu at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre.
As of Monday, there was one confirmed case of influenza A with 36 suspected cases.
Drew Wilby with the Ministry of Corrections says they’re doing everything they can to minimize the number of inmates getting sick.
“Because of this outbreak inmates have restricted movement in the facility to contain the spread of the virus,” said Wilby.
Wilby says they have stacked up on vaccines and medication to make sure the spread is contained and offenders are kept healthy.
