Drips of dark red blood stained what was left of the ice and snow on a sidewalk in front of a home in North Central Tuesday after an incident Regina police are investigating as an assault.
Around 11:15 a.m. police officers were called to a house at 1145 Robinson St. where they found a 29-year-old woman unconscious on the sidewalk. She was sent to hospital with serious injuries, but she is expected to recover.
Yellow police tape flapped in the wind while four orange police cones marked the front of the scene.
Several police cruisers kept a close eye on the house Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation continues and no arrests have been made at this time.
