One man is dead after the pick-up truck he was driving collided with a semi carrying gravel on a grid road in the RM of Elcapo in the Broadview area.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday with Broadview RCMP, Broadview Fire Department and Whitewood Ambulance responding.
The initial investigation determined the westbound truck was struck by a northbound semi. The lone person in the truck, a 71-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts at the scene, he was declared dead at the Broadview Hospital.
The driver of the semi did not report any injuries.
There is no evidence at this time to suggest alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
