RCMP investigating 2 suspicious fires near Maidstone

Maidstone RCMP are asking the public for any information they might have regarding two suspicious fires southwest of Lone Rock last weekend.

Officers were called to a blaze at the Nunebor Community Center, formerly known as Eagle Butte school, shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday. That same day, a couple of kilometres away, another fire was also sparked at an abandoned farmhouse.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents are asked to contact their local RCMP or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Lone Rock is located about 40 kilometres west of Maidstone.
