Sask. to soak up double-digit temperatures this week

After a cold and snowy weekend, people in Saskatchewan can look forward to a much warmer week.

In the midst of enduring a colder than normal fall, a long-promised warm-up is expected over the first few days of this week.

Environment Canada is forecasting daytime highs around or well-above normal temperatures hitting double-digits this week. It could be a great week to catch up on last minute yard work or just to enjoy getting outside with highs up to 17 C on Wednesday.

The warmer temperatures could be welcome news for farmers still working to get the last of the harvest in. Last week’s provincial crop report showed only 78 per cent of the crop was in the bin, behind the five-year average of 84 per cent.
