Two men have been charged under the Federal Cannabis Act after an unlicensed store reportedly popped up in Yorkton.
On Oct. 19, a few days after legalization, Yorkton RCMP received information about an unlicensed storefront that had been set up and was selling pot to the public.
An investigation was started and a search warrant was executed on the store.
As police entered, marijuana and cannabis products were on display and for sale by two men.
A small quantity of edibles which are illegal to sell, 1.3 pounds of cannabis, cannabis concentrate and a small amount of cash was seized.
Both men were arrested and charged under the Federal Cannabis Act.
