Stanley Mission RCMP have arrested and charged one of their own.
Constable Elizabeth Cook, who is stationed in Saskatoon, was arrested at a home in Stanley Mission. She was subsequently charged with one count of assault on Tuesday.
On April 1 at 8:20 a.m., the Stanley Mission Health Clinic contacted RCMP about injuries to an 18-year-old woman. Police determined the women’s injuries occurred during a fight outside a Stanley Mission house.
Cst. Cook was off-duty at the time of the fight.
She was suspended with pay and RCMP is currently investigating her actions.
Cook will appear in Stanley Mission Provincial Court on May 10.
