Regina residents might want to recheck their city garbage schedules before rolling out their brown bins.
The city is moving to a bi-weekly pickup schedule for the winter.
A pilot project testing less frequent garbage pickup last winter was deemed a success and will now be permanent through the winter months between November 4 and March 29.
Monday is the first collection day under the new system. City trucks will resume weekly garbage collection during the two weeks of Christmas holidays.
The city will accommodate properties requiring extra garbage collection by providing an additional bin for a fee.
You can find more information and a link to the city schedule on the City of Regina website.
