A 22-year-old man has been charged after someone broke into an education auditorium at the University of Regina, attempted to start a fire and damaged several items just before Halloween.
The damage occurred overnight between October 30 and 31st and is estimated to be in the range of tens of thousands of dollars.
The suspect was identified through investigation by the Regina Police Service University Liaison Officer working with U of R Campus Security.
Police arrested the man on Nov. 5.
The 22-year-old is charged with arson with disregard for human life and mischief over $5,000.
He appeared in court Tuesday.
