We’ve had it pretty good this April, but Environment Canada says a return to more seasonal weather is on its way to Saskatoon.
Meteoroligst John Paul Cragg said we can expect highs of 9 C on Saturday and 7 C on Sunday.
There is a 40 per cent chance of precipitation Saturday. Wind will also be a factor over the weekend, gusting to as high as 60 km/h on Saturday.
Cragg said we’re unlikely to get back to warmer weather this month.
“It looks like we’re going to be finishing off April on the cool side, but then in the beginning of May it looks like we’ll start shifting to those warmer temperatures again,” he said.
But, on the bright side, even if the weather is a bit cooler — at least we shouldn’t have to break out the snow shovels. Cragg pointed out that two winters ago, snow cover remained on the ground until well into late April.
