A 58-year-old woman from Hodgeville, Sask. is dead after a vehicle hit her while she was jogging on Highway 19, a few kilometres north of the village.
In an emailed news release, RCMP said it happened on Thursday.
Mounties and members of the Swift Current EMS team responded to the call and pronounced the woman dead when they arrived on scene.
The release said that “the driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and rendered aid to the female until emergency services arrived.”
Police are still investigating the crash; they haven’t yet charged the driver of the vehicle.
